A sport chat

Jagr to the Oilers? Though the rumour has been denied, these things don't come out of nowhere. However, it sounds pretty far fetched. I'm sure many teams would love to take him down the playoff stretch and the Oilers are far from guaranteed to even be in the playoffs. He would have to clear waivers if they signed him anyway and I would think someone else would pick him up (à la Wade Dubielewicz).

Zednik potted the game tying goal and OT winner last nigh against the Leafs after being down 4-1. I've always liked Richard Zednik. He is a positive player who always looks like he's givin 'er. It has to be one of the stories of the year that a guy who was 5 minutes from death a year ago comes back and produces late game dramatics to win the game. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of his throat being gashed open by a skate in a game against Buffalo. I remember reading about him asking the doctors how soon he could practice again shortly after it happened. Pretty resilient guy. Oh, and he scored one of the goals of the year a few nights ago.

Holy Robinho. He scored the nicest goal I've seen in a while. No big deal though, just dancing around the World Cup champion and FIFA second ranked Italy defence. Haven't seen him do that very often in the Prem lately.
